“Las Charcas” is a place located in San Pedro del Pinatar, the northern area of Mar Menor. It’s a well known place to have a great health treatment with a mud bath.
The area is specially made for mud bathing, in the last years a number of wooden platforms have been constructed leading out to the best areas of mud making the experience easier to enjoy.
It´s a very healthy and old tradition which makes your skin smooth. The local legend says that if you have 9 mud baths during summer you will be healthy the whole year.
You just cover yourself with the mud and walk down of the sun to dry it. Then go again to the water to take out the mud.
