Discover one of the most spectacular landscapes of the Costa Blanca. La Mata is a natural park located in Torrevieja. It’s composed by two large salt water lagoons. You can make 4 free guided tours in La Mata Natural Park such as a dramatized walking excursion, a bird watching route and a trip through the vineyards and salt lagoons. Also, you can make a night route around the lagoons. Come to enjoy stunning views from this lovely landscape.
Route 1. Under the moonlight
You can make a night route around the lagoons in summer. It’s a magical walk where you can enjoy this amazing landscape under the moonlight. Come to enjoy a stunning sunset from La Mata Lagoons. This activity will take place every Monday and Friday in July and August from 8,30 p.m. to 12 p.m.
Route 2. The Secret of the Lagoon
Enjoy the dramatized walking route. You can discover the secrets of the lagoons. The next excursion will take place on Saturday, March 3.
Route 3. The Birds of the Natural Reserve
Also, you can enjoy the birds watching in La Mata Lagoons. Come to feel like an ornithologist. You can observe the species that live in this natural park such as flamingos, stilt and bittern.
Route 4. Vineyards of Water and Salt in La Mata
Come to take a walk surrounded by vineyards, salt lagoons and the Mediterranean Sea. It’s an unforgettable experience. Finally, you can taste a delicious wine of the vineyards of La Mata. This activity will take place on June 17th, 2018.
Day Routes from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Night Routes from 8,30 p.m. until 12 p.m. The meeting point of the routes is located in the information center of the natural park.
We recommend you to bring comfortable clothes, sport shoes, a hat, binoculars and a camera. If you will make a night route you should carry a flashlight.
