Welcome to FIJJAZ 2015. It’s the International Jazz Festival of Alicante that take place from 16th to 25 th July on the Auditorium of Alicante Provincial Council. If you visit this festival you can see performances of international singers and jazz musicians such as Avery Sunshine, Kenny Garret Quintet, The Bad Plus Joshua Redman, Snarky Puppy, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Marcus Miller.
The XVIII International Jazz Festival of Alicante start on Thursday 16th with a jazz concert by the famous singer Avery Sunshine accompanied by the guitarist Dana Johnson.

The second concert take place on Friday 17th. Kenny Garret Quintet is composed of the saxophonist Kenny Garret with the double-bass player Corcoran Holt, the drummer Marcus Baylor, the percussionist Rudy Bird and the pianist Vernell Brown.

On Saturday 18th you can see the performance of The Bad Plus feat the saxophonist Joshua Redman. The Bad Plus is a trio composed by the bass player Reid Anderson, the pianist Ethan Iverson and the drummer David King.

The following Thursday 23rd you can see the Grammy award winner Snarky Puppy. It’s a jazz band composed by the bass player Michael League, the drummer Larnell Lewis, the percusionist Nate Werth, the keyboard players Shaun Martin and Bill Laurance, the guitarist Bob Lanzetti, the saxophinist Chris Bullock and the trumpet players Justin Stanton and Maike Maher.

On Friday 24th you can see the performance of the jazz singer Dee Dee Bridgewater accompanied by the trumpet players Irvan Mayfield and Michael Watson, the saxophonist Ricardo Pascal, the bass player Jasen Waver, the pianist Victor Atkins and the drummer Adonis Rose.

Finally, you can see the Marcus Miller concert accompanied by the guitarist Adam Agati, the saxophonist Alex Han, the pianist Brett Williams, the trumpet player Lee Hogans, the drummer Louis Cato and the percusionist Mino Cinelu. Marcus Miller is a famous musician, composer and jazz producer.
