The Bloomberg Healthiest Country Index study analyses the factors that influence the quality of life of people in 169 different nations, such as eating habits, life expectancy, medical care, obesity, smoking, hygiene, the environment and the availability of drinking water. Spain is ranked first in the ranking followed by Italy, Iceland, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, Australia, Singapore, Norway and Israel, among others.
Currently, Spain has the longest life expectancy of the European Union with 82,9 years. The study predicts that in 2040 it will have the highest life expectancy with nearly 86 years, followed by Japan, Singapore and Switzerland.
