The International Jazz Festival of San Javier is very famous in Murcia. It’s a prestigious festival with national and international musicians. If you likes jazz, blues, soul, bossa nova or funk you should visit the festival.
The jazz singer Bobby Mac Ferrin, the guitarist George Benson, the guitarist and pianist Lucky Peterson and the latino jazz pianist Michel Camilo are some famous musicians that play in the festival.
The 17th edition is celebrated from july 5 to august 5 in the Municipal Auditorium Parque Almansa.
The International Jazz Festival of San Javier is celebrated since 1998. It was declared Festivity of Regional Tourist Interest in Murcia.
The award of the festival is to pay tribute to the career of the best jazz musicians. The spanish jazz saxophonist Pedro Iturralde was the winner at 2013.
