Today starts a new edition of the Euromarina Optimist Trophy, one of the most awaited regattas in the international sailing calendar for children. From the 30th of January to the 2nd of February, the Mediterranean waters will host 430 young sailors from 29 countries, who will compete in Torrevieja in an event that has already established itself as one of the most important in the Optimist class.

This championship, held in the facilities of the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja, is much more than a sporting event. It is a meeting between young people of different nationalities, united by their passion for sailing, the sea and the spirit of self-improvement.

    Welcome Party: A Memorable Start

The regatta officially kicks off today, January 30, with the traditional Welcome Party at 7:00 PM. This is a special moment for all the young sailors, their families, and coaches, as they parade with their national flags in a vibrant and festive atmosphere. There will be live performances, entertainment, and a delicious barbecue dinner to welcome everyone before the competition begins.
